Description

As the El Search Party investigated the transporting tunnel, they find Alterasia, a plant fatal to Nasods, Raven remembers a past involved with Alterasia.

Quest Acceptance Dialogue

  • Raven: ...
  • Aisha: Wow... That flower is huge! ... Scary huge.
  • Elsword: It looks like it squeezed past the door to grow. What is it doing here?
  • Rena: Wait... Don't tell me this is Alterasia?
  • Aisha: Alterasia...?
  • Rena: Yes. I heard about it when I was little. It reacts to El energy, so it attaches to animals or other plants, and can move its habitat.
  • Rena: That's why they were especially deadly against Nasods. I heard they created a genetically modified version of Alterasia to attack during the Nasod War.
  • Aisha: Eww, a parasitic plant? That's gross.
  • Elsword: I've never seen one before. You would think they'd grow around Ruben if it reacts to the El.
  • Rena: They were found a long time ago. They were considered a harmful species and were exterminated. It makes sense you wouldn't know, since you're still young.
  • Elsword: I have no idea how far ago 'long time ago' is when you say it, Rena.
  • Rena: The Alterasia I know, was bothersome, but not threatening. This is likely... a modified one?
  • Raven: ...
  • Aisha: Raven, are you alright? The Nasod...
  • Raven: Ah, that's fine. It's just... seeing that flower made me remember why I came here.
  • Raven: Nasods are the ones who trapped the Alterasia in the Transporting Tunnel Gate. They were trying their best to stop it from spreading. Though as you can see, they failed.
  • Raven: We had to get rid of them... but the Nasods could not take care of them since they grow on Nasods. That's why the Black Crow were deployed to take care of it.
  • Rena: Because Black Crows are human...? But aren't they all modified with Nasod parts? It sounds like a dangerous operation.
  • Raven: Yes. We lost many men. I was also affected. That's when the mind control device broke, so I was briefly able to regain consciousness.
  • Raven: ... I suddenly came to realization that I need to get rid of the mind control device. I knew there was a Ponggo village nearby... and I went straight to the village from the tunnel.
  • Raven: I failed because the Nasod army chased me right away... I remember now.
  • Rena: This flower wasn't just bad for you.
  • Raven: Yes. In a way, the parasitic plant helped the host that was controlled by Nasods.
  • Raven: How ironic...

  • Aisha: But if this flower was so lethal against Nasods, maybe we left it along, it would have gotten rid of King Nasod for us?
  • Elsword: Don't forget we're here to retrieve the El!
  • Aisha: Alright! Alright. I just had thought because it seems we will have to fight against King Nasod anyway to get the El back.
  • Rena: That doesn't sound too farfetched, but Alterasia is too dangerous to mess around. It was really spread out... and the Ponggos have a lot of machinery in their village.
  • Rena: I think it's good we got rid of it. Let's go inform the village.

Description

  • Amos: What? There was an Alterasia growing at the Transporting Tunnel Gate that spread spores everywhere to control the Nasods that were no longer functioning, pong?!
  • Aisha: Hey! That's a really good summary! We did take care of the flower.
  • Elsword: But it might grow again with the spores everywhere, so be careful.
  • Amos: I see... Thank you for telling me, pong. I suppose the Nasods couldn't do anything about it since they are weak to spores, pong.
  • Amos: But we are immune to them because of our thick fur. We won't be able to use it right now, but we got our Transporting Tunnel back! Thanks, pong.
  • Raven: There was another path behind the Alterasia. Do you know where that leads to?
  • Amos: It's a forked path. One leads to another tunnel, while the other leads to Altera Plains. Many Ponggos came from Altera Plains including Agatha! Pong.
  • Rena: Altera Plains? Is that different from where we went? Did the Ponggos from Altera Plains tell you anything about it?
  • Amos: They spent a night inside a hole in the middle of the plains after being chased by Nasods when they heard sounds of Nasods moving things and demolishing the land they stole! Pong.
  • Rena: Move and demolish...? Are they trying to build something?
  • Raven: Simple. All those Nasods don't appear out of thin air. They must have been creating a mass production system.
  • Aisha: Uuh...! Even more than now?
  • Raven: There's no reason to need that many El shards otherwise. We will face more Nasods than we ever have before.
  • Amos: It's probably better to use the path inside the Transporting Tunnel than walking across Altera Plains, pong.
  • Amos: But don't let your guard down, pong. It's been a long time since we escaped the plains. We don't know what the Nasods have done to it.
  • Raven: Alright. We'll keep that in mind.

  • Aisha: The slamming noise we heard at the Transporting Tunnel was from here all along.
  • Raven: This must have been King Nasod's purpose all along. To mass produce battle Nasods...!
  • Elsword: Battle Nasods? They're different from the ones we saw in the Plains or the Tunnel?
  • Raven: Yes. Those Nasods were modified from excavation or building models so they can battle. But these are different.
  • Rena: Don't you think there's too many of them... To aim for seizing this island?
  • Raven: They must be planning on expanding beyond Altera. And those movements... are unfamiliar.
