Basic Information

Experience Points (EXP or XP) are a key feature required to raise your character's level. EXP can be gained by completing Dungeons, Official PvP, killing monsters in Hunting Fields, and sometimes through events and other methods. Once reaching 100% EXP, your character will increase by 1 level, making them stronger, and opening up more features to them, such as new skills, dungeons, and stronger equipment. The maximum level that can be achieved is 99.

El Resonance

Main Article: El Resonance

After achieving level 99, you can subsequently unlock El Resonance, which you can also gain EXP in, in order to further strengthen your character. El Resonance EXP can only be gained on level 99 characters.

Boosting Your EXP Gain

There are a number of ways to maximize your EXP gain, through the use of items, special equipment, accessories, events, and various gameplay mechanics. Many of these effects will stack on top of one another, with a few exceptions.

Experience Boost Medals

EXP Boost Medals are items that can increase the number of experience points gained by the user. These medals can be obtained through certain events, exchanging 3 Evil Souls Orbs with Ariel, or purchase from the Item Mall. The amount of EXP gain will come in various amounts, such as 15%, 30%, 50%, and 100%. These medals will increase EXP gain from nearly all sources, including Hunting Fields and Arena but not Ereda Island.

Please note that most EXP Boost Medals will not stack with each other. If a player possesses multiple medals at once, only the medal with the highest percentage will take effect. For example, if a player possesses 30% and 15% medals, they will receive a 30% increase. There are a few Event Only exp medals that do stack with themselves (and only themselves) however.

Random Missions

Main Article: Random Mission System

Random Missions are randomly occurring tasks you can complete during dungeon runs, in order to receive buffs, as well as increased EXP gain upon completion of the dungeon. The EXP boosts from this can range between 110% to 500%, making them highly beneficial to complete when leveling up.

Hot Springs & Relax EXP

Main Article: Elrios Hot Springs

Relax EXP is a mechanic available to characters between level 1 to 98. It is gained alongside of normal exp at a similar rate, and can be converted to normal exp over time by standing in a Hot Spring. This helps to maximize your EXP gain, even while not actively playing in dungeons. Relax EXP can be viewed by clicking on your EXP bar. You can gain up to 100% relax EXP per day, which will convert to 50% normal exp.

Additionally, standing in the Hot Springs for a certain amount of time will grant you a 30% EXP boost for 30 minutes.

Events

Occasionally, special events will occur that increase the exp gain of all players by a certain amount. Usually by significant amounts, such as double or triple the EXP rates. This will be shown at the top of the screen when such an event is currently active.

Calculating your total EXP

  • S - the Hot Springs or El House buff
  • GC - 0.5 if the Training Time Contract is active
  • STAT - sum of EXP Increase stats (displayed in the Stat Window)
