Can I ask how you determine the amount of defense ignore? How can you say its 0-80%? Isn't the description said that "Blade ignores the same amount of defense as the wielder's fire resistance". Which means it ignore 0-500 numerical value of defense?

I tested it using damage comparisons. You can check yourself on the defense dummy (it has 48% defense). Plus, it's defense pierce, not ignore.

Hello! Thank you for all your guidance and sorry for bothering you!

I wanted to ask if there's a certain layout/format that should be followed in regards to the Total Damage sections of certain skills? For example, I followed the layout for Slice and Dice but I noticed that the layout for Silent Abyss is different and more recent. For future reference, which one would you prefer the ElWiki uses? Or possibly something else?

Hello! No problem, felt responsible since I wrote the damage/trait templates. Regarding the format of Total Damage for Liberator, both are used because of these skills having different structures. For Silent Abyss, it was not possible to display all this information accurately using the layout from Slice and Dice, but it is preferred for other skills. Unless you have a nicer idea for the Silent Abyss page.

I see... What about a skill such as Pursuit then? It doesn't quite follow Slice and Dice's formatting because of how long the table is, so should it be separated into base damage, shadow damage, total damage like Silent Abyss?

As far as I remember, the problem with Shadow Abyss was that the crystals don't have average damage, but the shadows do. For Pursuit, both Pursuit and the shadows have average damage (and don't use "Per Space").

Ehh, I don't really have any interest in translating them. I don't know Korean enough to be able to pull that off without using machine translation. For such flavor texts it would be horrible to use it.

Extract Game Data?

How were you able to extract the EXP data for characters and El Resonance? Would it be possible to extract clear lines and dialogue using the same method? I'd like to be able to grab the clear lines still missing on the wiki, but I don't have access to dungeons beyond Pruinaum and clearing dungeons over and over again just for clear lines is both time consuming and boring.

I also want to double-check Solace's Fortress onward, as well as the dungeons exclusive to Laby and Noah. There was a point where I thought all dungeons had three lines minimum for each character, but after a while it began to feel that these dungeons actually have less than three.

I added the ending lines to CoboDex individual dungeon pages. For example, here's Cargo Airship: . You can also utilize the new global search feature (top right) to get to dungeons quickly. Dialogue lines are trickier to get, so let me know where they are needed.

Regarding Heroic Mode, I think these voice lines are reused from the normal dungeons? Not sure, the actual Heroic Dungeon has no ending speech.

Technically, yes, they are the same clear lines that were used for those dungeons before the generic clear lines for each character were added. But Elboy~Ain will always use unique clear lines in Heroic Mode even if it's a dungeon they'd normally use their generic clear lines in. As such, they're currently exclusive to Heroic Mode.

Anyway, thanks for doing that. It's a huge help.

Edit: Looking at the Tree of El page, it looks like the wiki has some clear lines that CoboDex doesn't have. Can you check to see if those are still valid? The other dungeons might need to be checked as well. Thanks.

Hmm... I have a screenshot of a clear line I got from clearing Heroic Volcanic Flame Entrance with my Genesis a couple months ago, but it's not shown on the CoboDex page for that dungeon. It's saved to a folder in my Google Drive that I linked to on my own talk page (it wasn't added to the wiki because of confusion on whether it was a clear line for that dungeon or if it was a Heroic Mode-specific generic line). Do you know anything about that?

This exact line is from this dungeon: Turns out Heroic Dungeon is just a dummy for selection in the UI. The actual Heroics are separate hidden versions of base dungeons, lol. Unfortunately, these are not available through search / UIs on CoboDex. I'll think about a way to include them (in a separate section maybe), but for now I can just get you the missing lines.

EDIT: I forgot normal users can't even access these LOL

Then can I ask you to add the Heroic Mode-exclusive clear lines to the Elwiki pages for the dungeons that can appear in Heroic Mode? I have already added "Heroic" tabs to the "Dungeon Victory Quote" sections of those pages a little while back.

A lot of information on these dungeons is outdated, including the pictures, so it would require lots of manual labor. NPC stat calculation is also different, so I'm not sure I want to do that.

In particular, with the IBModel/IMModel templates, I'm wondering if something like, "If the file link exists, link to said file. If it doesn't exist, redirect to File:IBUnknown.png / File:IMUnknown.png" can be done?

Are you referring to calling the template via the {{ }} brackets? If so, it would be:

...which should pull up File:SWATBHatLi.png. However, it either pulls up File:IMUnknown.png or a nonexistent link.

I see it now, you're checking if the page "SWATBHat" exists (since you only provided {{{IM|}}}), and not File:SWATBHatLi.png.

Maybe store it in a variable so that you can reuse it for both the condition of #ifexist and the outcome.

About Oracle and Destruction skills

gomen I don't play Elboy.
I'm a bit confused about how the Oracle passive works. On Mega Slash, the damage with Oracle was calculated as:
Mega Slash damage (3321) x Oracle (1.2) = 3985.2
But then on Flame Geyser it is calculated as:
Flame Geyser damage (4116) x Destruction (1.5) x Oracle (1.2) = 7408.8
But then on Resolution's page, it's calculated as:
Resolution damage (49808) x Destruction (1.5) = 74712

I guess my question is, which one is correct? @@

It should be damage x 1.5 x 1.2. The Resolution page just doesn't have Oracle for some reason. Mega Slash is missing the bonus from Destruction.

I saw that you added hits to appear with the Persistent trait, thank you! \o/ Would it be possible to do the same for the Killing Blow (1) trait? Geist Herrschaft apparently has increased max hits with the trait. Also I appreciate your patience despite all the mistakes and messes I make. /bow

The problem with Geist is that Killing Blow (1) has this detail only on this skill, so I would have to modify the base of the template to not show the max hits when not provided. However, some base work will need to be done with it eventually, since it's currently unable to render multiple details for one trait (i.e. Killing Blow with multiple effects).

Ohh, I see... If Geist Herrschaft is the only skill that has increased hits from KB1, then I suppose it's fine to leave the traits table fully typed out (?) as it currently is?

The way I see it, Geist gaining extra hits is simply a result of increasing its duration due to the status inflicting one hit per 0.5 second and not part of the trait itself, so instead of saying that Mind Control has 10 max hits, I'd personally have it say it deals damage every 0.5 seconds of its duration.

Setting aside the issue of Geist (and Metal Dust Aura) for now, is it possible to have the Persistent2 Hits column be hidden if there is no value given? Or should we just put hits=1 for skills such as Energy Wave?

Hey, I'm doing the German character sites and Im recognized that the Skill Sites are very different as in the past. I want to do the new character skill sites but it doesn't work with the SkillTable in german or rather i don't know how I can link the german sites instead of the english sites. Can you help me with this problem? Thank you in advance

I could, but first: I'm not willing to go over hundreds of classes and their pages just to see if they are protected or not. Second, there is no need to update the tables, since they're basically the same as the template (JavaScript converts the table markup to divs). We updated category pages just because it wouldn't take a decade to change all of them, but it did take a decade to load them in your browser. If you really want to waste your time updating them, check which pages are protected and send me a list 😅 since we don't really have a mass permission change extension (nor does one exist to my knowledge). Though, I don't recommend it, it is a lot of work for a minimal change.
