Messenger of the Goddess Corrupted y Demonic Energy and Chaos

When the Goddess doesn’t reply to his calls, Ain became afraid that he might have been completely forgotten. On top of that, during his journey, he over exerted himself trying to purify the Dark El he found. However, due to its influence, Ain’s Power came in contact with demonic energy and mutates.

Along with the guilt from being unable to fulfill the Goddess’ mission, the demonic energy ate away at his body which caused him to feel uncontrollable rage.

As a result of this evolving power, Ain begins to steal the power of the El from anyone he found undeserving.

여신께서 날 잊으신 걸까? 계속된 부름에도 고대하던 응답이 없자 사고는 극단적인 방향으로 치닫는다.
아니, 그럴 리가 없어... 아인은 애써 불안을 억누른다. 그래. 엘의 행방을 쫓는 것만으로는 여신께 닿기엔 부족한 것일 터다.

그러나 가까스로 억눌러온 불안감은 오염된 다크 엘을 발견한 순간 폭발하고 말았다.
큰 충격에 휩싸인 아인은 서둘러 마기를 정화하다가 자신을 무방비하게 노출시켰고, 다크 엘에서 흘러나온 마기가 시공의 균열에서 입었던 혼돈의 상처에 스며들고 만다.
알아챈 뒤엔 이미 모든 것이 늦은 뒤였다. 마기는 아인이 가진 권능의 힘을 변질시켰다.

가까스로 평정을 되찾은 아인이 두려움 다음으로 느낀 감정은 분노였다.
여신이 내려주신 엘을 산산조각 내버린 것도 모자라, 이후에도 아무런 반성 없이 엘의 조각들을 함부로 다루는 어리석은 것들.
이미 엘의 축복을 필요 이상으로 누리고 있으면서도 감사할 줄 모르는 파렴치한 족속들.
여신께서 엘리오스에 내린 축복이라 할지라도 이들에게는 과분하다.

주체할 수 없을 정도로 격앙된 감정은 아인에게 선택을 강요했다.
그래. 이대로 두었다간 엘의 상태는 점점 더 나빠질 게 분명하다. 자신의 사명은 엘에 기운을 되돌려주는 것.
그걸 위해서는 파손된 엘을 복원하는 일이 선행되어야 하지만, 이미 엘을 훼손한 전적이 있는 자들에게 맡길 순 없는 것이다.
엘을 보호해야 한다. 바로 자신이, 신의 사자인 내가.
아인은 엘리오스에 흩어진 엘의 기운을 회수하기 시작한다.

힘을 회수하는 와중에도 아인의 권능은 조금씩 변질되어갔다.
몸을 좀먹고 침식해가는 마기. 혼돈의 상처와 뒤엉켜버린 지금 자신의 힘만으로 온전히 떨쳐내기엔 역부족이었다.
회수한 엘의 기운을 사용한다면 가능하겠지만... 여신이 내린 힘을 사사로이 쓸 수는 없다.
하물며 여신의 사명을 제대로 완수하지도 못한 자신이 그럴 수는 없는 것이다.
죄책감에 시달리는 사이 아인을 침식해 들어간 마기는 자신 속에 스스로도 알 수 없을 정도로 뿌리 깊이 자리 잡는다.

Did the goddess forget me? Left without an answer to his calls, Ain began to think the worst. No, that can’t be it… He tried to suppress his anxiety as his thoughts spun. Perhaps pursuing the El’s whereabouts is not enough to reach the goddess.

But his barely-suppressed anxiety boiled over the moment he discovered the corrupted Dark El. Panicked, shocked, horrified, he hurriedly tried to purify the Dark El, but instead accidentally exposed his rift-wound to the demonic energy within. He realized what had happened too late. The demonic energy had already corrupted Ain’s creation magic.

Once he managed to regain his composure, terror melted into fury. Not only did those fools shatter the El the goddess had given them, they carelessly used the shattered pieces of that El with no remorse. Shameless and ungrateful beings, taking the El’s blessing for granted. The goddess may have given them this blessing, but CLEARLY they did not deserve it.

Awful, uncontrollable emotion pushed him to a decision. No… If the El is left as it is, it will only get worse. My duty is to return energy to El. For that, the destroyed El must first be restored. But I cannot leave it to those who had damaged it once before. The El must be protected, and I, the emissary of the goddess, must be the one to do it. And so Ain began retrieving the El energy scattered throughout Elrios.

Even as he retrieved the pure energy, his own power slowly turned.. The demonic energy that had fused with his wound still corroded his body, corrupted his being... Perhaps if he used the energy he had retrieved… But that would be misusing his goddess’ power for his own selfish gain. He could not bring himself to do that, especially as he’d completely failed to fulfill his duty.. Thoughts like these tormented him with guilt. Unbeknownst to him, his corruption was spreading to a point he couldn’t even fathom, as the demonic energy took root deep inside.

Trivia

• Schatz is the German term for 'Darling' or 'Treasure'. The class name could be a reference to his desire to reprise his role as the goddess' "Darling" angel.
• Alarmed by the existence of the demonic energy infused El in Feita, Ain recklessly tried to purify it, being exposed and slowly corrupted when the demonic energy seeped into him through the Henir mark over his eye.
  • This also further enhanced Henir's influence on him. This is shown during his Spiritualism mode, where the hint of dark blue seen in his base job has spread further throughout his sclera and his wings, which were see-through, begin to solidify, similar to Apostasia.
• Being corrupted by demonic energy, Ain's hair begins to darken, becoming a dark gray color with dark blue highlights. His Spiritualism form’s hair also darkens to a dark navy blue.
• Unlike Arme Thaumaturgy who is just disappointed and loses faith in humans, Schatz Reprise instead feels anger towards them due to the demonic energy influence. In his default mode, he speaks in a calm manner but sounds angrier in his Spiritualism state.
