Background

오랜 잠에서 깨어난 이브는 코어가 파괴되었음을 알고 절망하지만, 곧 자신을 추스른다. 이렇게 후회만 하고 있을 수는 없었다.

"저는 단 하나 남은 나소드 종족의 생존자이자 나소드들의 여왕이 될 존재. 여기서 포기할 수는 없어요."

코어 안에 남은 코드들 중 쓸만한 것을 찾던 이브는 미지의 코드를 발견한다. 그것은 아드리안과 아담이 헤니르의 힘을 나소드에 접목하는 연구를 진행하던 중, 위험하다 판단해 폐기했던 코드였다. 이게 아직 남아있었다니… 다소 위험은 따르겠지만, 이 미지의 코드가 가진 강대한 에너지라면 지금의 절망적인 상황을 바꿀 수 있을지도 모른다.

이브는 갖은 고생 끝에 아드리안과 아담이 직접 걸어둔 락을 간신히 풀어내 코드:언노운을 설치했고, 전에 느껴보지 못했던 강대한 힘이 전신의 회로를 타고 오르는 것을 느낀다. 코드 언노운이 가진 강대한 힘에 잠시 희망에 부풀었던 이브는 곧 자신의 공중 기동 코드가 완전히 사라진 것을 깨닫는다.

지금까지 어떻게 날고 이동했는지 전혀 기억이 나지 않았다, 마치 처음부터 없었던 것처럼 사라진 코드. 그제야 이브는 무언가 잘못되었음을 깨닫지만 이걸 해제하기 위해 너무 많은 시간과 힘을 들였다. 이제 와서 그 노력들이 잘못된 선택이었다는 걸 인정하고 싶지 않았다.

"실수가 아닙니다. 저는 잘못된 선택을 한 게 아니에요."

아무것도 잘못된 건 없다. 모든 건 계획대로다. 그렇게 되뇌인 이브는 소실된 코드를 처음부터 없었던 것으로 여기며 코드:언노운의 강대한 힘을 다루기 시작한다.

• After Eve awakened the hidden code she received as Code: Unknown, her anxiety and negative emotions are completely replaced with positive thoughts.
  • • As a result, the name Code: Failess refers to Eve's state of mind where she percieves herself to be the perfect queen who is never wrong.
• Continuing on from Code: Unknown, Moby is changed even further and looks completely unrecognizable, while Remy is actually regressing, losing the pink highlights and the ring around its back, only retaining the larger antenna, looking much closer to its base appearance. Additionally, its expression changes to be much sadder and worried.
• The Korean name 페일리스 would more accurately be translated as Fail (페일) -less (리스), and is likely meant to mean "without fail", though the word "fail" cannot be suffixed with -less like other terms such as flawless or painless. The official name, 'Failess', has no real meaning.
