Before his Nasod arm could overheat one too many times and fail him in battle, he approaches the Ponggos for their expertise in weapons.

They promptly send him out to collect rare materials for the repair: Ignis' arm that blasts out nuclear flames, for greater firepower; the dark steel of Durahan Knight, for better heat resistance; and enchanted, mass-altering golem fragments, for making the usually heavy dark steel easier to carry. Gathering all these materials from such huge, dangerous monsters is clearly not simple, but Raven succeeds nonetheless.
Raven finds that his Nasod Arm is not built for frequent use of the Overheat system, and seeks to make his arm more durable, and powerful using the Flame Nucleus.
 
 
The Ponggos complete the Nasod arm enhancement, and soon pushing the overheat system to its limits, Raven becomes the distinguished '''Veteran Commander'''—a temperamental yet compassionate leader of fighters.
When his friends and the soldier trusted him and followed him, he decides to attach the Flame Nucleus despite the risks.

Raven finds that his Nasod Arm is not built for frequent use of the Overheat system, and seeks to make his arm more durable, and powerful using the Flame Nucleus.

When his friends and the soldier trusted him and followed him, he decides to attach the Flame Nucleus despite the risks.

Now he can use even bigger explosives to eliminate enemies with overwhelming firepower.

Description

With materials he obtained from defeating Nasods, the Ponggos made him a Flame Core. It will increase resistance to heat and increase destructive power of the Nasod arm, but the Ponggos warned that it will be more burden on the body. Feeling strange from all the concern as he accepts the Flame Core, Raven hears the request for reinforcement from Feita.

Description

Raven decided as he looked after his friends fighting. Though some may say he's being reckless, he knew what to do. The moment he attached the Flame Core, the Nasod arm heated up. If he can become strong enough that he would never have to lose anything again, he will make the same decision again and again. As he headed to the Underground Chapel, Raven's Nasod arm burned with what seemed like unending flame.

is reworked to fire a firebomb instead of the arm blast. You can continue the combo by firing another firebomb and repeatedly pressing will fire off a barrage of firebombs at a 45° angle consumes HP while in overheat state. The firebombs fired will leave a trail of fire momentarily when they impact onto platforms but cannot be stacked. All firebombs have infinite piercing and deal splash damage.

After doing the standard combo, backstep and fire a firebomb forward following by another firebomb. The backstep is spaced optimally so the second firebomb will likely deal its explosion damage. Both bullets will hitstun targets.

Alternatively, pressing after will instead roll through the enemy then punch them from behind with his claw leaving them open for a combo.

Trivia

  • Whenever Veteran Commander's Nasod Arm overheats, vents will open and appear on his arm. They will also make a sound when they close.
    • While equipped with Ice Burner gloves that changes Raven's Nasod Arm, the vents on Veteran Commander's arm will still appear.
  • During Veteran Commander's release event in NA/UK, when summoning his NPC Card, the angel from the KR pre-release event appears and fights for them. However, this didn't happen in his pre-release event.
  • Veteran Commander's design and concept seems to be based on crows. This is shown in his Nasod arm, weapon, uniform, and accessories bearing crow-like features.
  • It is unclear exactly why or how Raven gains a red streak of hair in this advancement.
  • The Lock Down Veteran Commander skill cut-in appears to be depicting him using Revolver Cannon with his right eye closed, as if he's taking aim.
  • Investigation of official document shows this class was initially called "크루얼 파이터 (Cruel Fighter)".
  • The last hit of "Roll and Grab" is similar to Breaking Fist's animation. In the original teaser trailer of Weapon Taker, it showed that the concept of the Roll and Grab combo was supposed to be rolling behind targets and slashing them.
