The Rune Slayer combines the best of both attack types—physical and magical. Elsword becomes this refined Magic Knight once he acquires more advanced magical skills to cripple and dominate his foes. Advancing to a Rune Slayer provides Elsword with more improved combos and new rune attacks that can be summoned with a flick of his fingers. Keep your enemies at a distance using runes or charge in with your sword!

Second Class Advancement

At Lv35, Magic Knight can advance into Rune Slayer. The second class advancement quest is obtained from Ariel, the event NPC located in every town.

Rune Slayer can also be obtained by using the Cash Shop item: Rune Slayer's Insignia

Collect 5 drops from Emasist (Boss) in 3x-3 on Hard mode. (☆☆)
- Defeat 9 Plant Overlords (Boss) in 3x-4 on any difficulty.
- Defeat 5 Emasists (Boss) in 3x-3 on Very Hard mode. (☆☆☆)
Speak with Vanessa in Velder
- Collect 10 drops from the Dark Elves in Velder.
- Collect 10 drops from the Blood Eaters in Velder.
- Collect 10 drops from any Gullitos (soldier monsters) in Velder.
  - Note: 5-2 Very Hard (☆☆☆) is recommended for this part of the quest.
