After Rena got hold of the magical sword, she is now able to execute more quicker sword combos. She can also change some of her arrows into 'Twig' arrows which explode on impact.

Background

Rena has been serving the 'Night Savers' as a personal trapping ranger for a long time now. She received a mission from the Ponggos, asking them to help them investigate a kidnapping in Altera. Rena was dispatched to help investigate this kidnapping. After hearing a rumor of the resurrection of King Nasod, Rena wanted to make sure that it was because of King Nasod that the ponggo are disappearing. Rena knew she could not defeat King Nasod alone, so she decided to recruit some allies from 'Night Savers'. As a skilled ranger who has amazing fighting skills, many of the 'Night Savers' tuned up to help Rena. After Rena destroyed King Nasod and saved the kidnapped Ponggos, the Altera chief, Adel, gave Rena a magical sword and told her that the sword was used to revive King Nasod. Receiving the magical sword, Rena can now do attacks with a longer blade rather than the erendil.
"I'm strong enough to protect more people now."
Stern and gentle, people started to call this beautiful elven warrior, The "night" that executes evil.
Thus Rena was dubbed as a guardian of elrios, a Night Watcher.

Second Class Advancement

At Lv35, Trapping Ranger can advance into Night Watcher. The second class advancement quest is obtained from Ariel, the event NPC located in every town.

Night Watcher

Night Watcher can also be obtained by using the Item Mall item: Badge of the Night Watcher.

1. Speak with Altera Pongo Elder Adel.
2. Collect 7 Peungseuten From The Altera Race.
   • Recommended the first maps of 4-5 normal mode.
3. Defeat King Nasod (Boss) 4 times in 4-6 on any difficulty.
4. Speak with Allegro in Peita
5. Collect 20 Drops from Glitter Necromancer in Peita

	Sword Switch A new combo, where Rena kicks the target and switches to sword combat. The new combo involves Rena to strike 3 times with her sword, knocking the enemy away on the final hit.
	Gliding Kick Stopping after running, Rena dashes forward and leaps, kicking twice and knocking enemies away. Needs good timing.
File:NWCombo3.png	Twig Shots A change of shots, Rena now can shoot 'Twigs' that do not knock down instead of arrows in some of her combo. This changes XX(X)X, ZZZ(X), >>(X) and >>^(X). Upon impact, the 'Twig' will explode and cause damage to surrounding victims.

Trivia

• Upon advancing to a Night Watcher, her regular ^Z, where she uses a single jump slash with her erendil, changes to the longer erendil.
  • Some of Trapping Ranger skills also replace the old shorter erendil with the new longer erendil. (E.g: Evoke, Fatality, Call of Ruin)
• Judging from her portrait, she obtained a longer sword, making Night Watcher the first swordwoman in the game.
• Judging from her eyes, and shading style, Night Watcher seems to exhibit the most resemblance to the old artist's style.
