The explosion has a unified hitbox and will always deal 7 hits (11 with Useful) on any enemy, though if positioned properly or if the enemy is wide enough, it may take additional hits, up to 10 total (15 with Useful).
Since the explosions only occur very close to the ground, the skill is ineffective against airborne or flying enemies and is best used on targets closer to the ground.
When used with the Useful trait, the Nasod Spear will deal damage once when it appears and again when it descends. In order to optimize its damage, a target should be roughly at the same altitude where the spears appear.
This skill is best used on bosses that cover a large horizontal area, such as Ancient Bone Dragon, Debrian Nasod Carrier, or Drabaki.
The explosions will slightly lift enemies, but you can catch them fairly easily as you can move well before the skill ends.
