Description

After waking up from the illusion, Noah mistakes Titania's face for Harque's and is confused. Meanwhile, the group decides there must be a reason why Titania persistently headed towards the manor and decides to chase her down.

Quest Acceptance Dialogue
  • Ebalon?: ....... Tsk, I can't believe he woke up from the illusion.
  • Noah: Imposter? Why are you...!
  • Ebalon?: Stop getting in my way. Be gone!
  • Yuria: I won't let that happen!
  • Titania: Gaah, Yuria, you damn little...!
  • Yuria: I'm the one you should worry about. Try me! I'm going to make campfire out of your vines!
  • Titania: Ha! Insolent...!
  • Yuria: She's running away again. Fine by me. You won't be able to run forever!
  • Clamor: Looks like Yuria protected us while we were under the illusion.
  • Noah: (Titania... For a moment, I thought she was the Moon Master pretending to be Harque. Was it the illusion spell that was still in my system?)
  • Yuria: Are you alright? You've broken off the illusion, right? I thought it might be dangerous if I forcibly wake you up, so I was waiting for you to regain consciousness on your own.
  • Noah: Thanks. I'm not... sure about the illusion. I'm still a bit dizzy.
  • Yuria: Your senses are all in disarray, so you'll feel something akin to muscle ache and motion sickness. It's not too bad though, right?
  • Noah: I should be fine.
  • Clamor: Why did Titania come here? I thought she came here to collect documents... But there must be another reason she keeps coming back even when we're chasing her.
  • Yuria: I think so, too. I don't know how long Titania was with the order, but there's something important about this place.
  • Clamor: So, there might be something up ahead. Let's be careful, Noah.
  • Noah: .......
  • Clamor: Noah?
  • Noah: ... Oh, um, alright. We're heading down, right?
  • Clamor: You're really out of it. Are you sure you're fine?
  • Noah: Oh, really, I'm fine. It's just... I told you, before, I managed to take revenge on the imposter that killed my brother.
  • Clamor: You said you did, 'technically'.
  • Noah: Yeah. But the illusion earlier... It made me think that my memory, when I took revenge, might be... wrong. If that's the case, it explains why I went back in time the first time. I think... This chance Harque gave me... I think I can finally use it properly.
Quest Completion Dialogue
  • Yuria: The vines are coming out of this corridor...
  • Noah: There's a hidden passage behind, that leads downwards... I think monsters are also coming out this way. Let's be careful.
  • Yuria: No worries! Here, I'll lead the way. Now, hold on tight and follow me.
  • Clamor: Are you alright, Yuria? I thought you would be shocked learning that Titania was a spy for the Order. Or, were you already aware?
  • Yuria: No, I wasn't. I only learned about the Order recently. But I know we have to be guarded against them. I don't think I told you this before, but our family has a duty to spread the knowledge of magic, as well as excavate and preserve old magical heritage. That's why we travel around the world.
  • Clamor: Wow, Headmaster Landar told me something similar back in the day. It's amazing that will has passed down for a thousand years, even after the El Exploded.
  • Yuria: When our camp was staying at Lanox, there was a missive from Elrianode to the Landar family. They must have sent it to all major cities since we travel around. Anyway, it was a request from Master Denif, asking for assistance in matters concerning the Order.
  • Noah: An El Master?
  • Yuria: Yes. It wasn't in detail, likely to prevent the information from spreading... But it's plenty suspicious, right? So I thought I should call home. It seemed they were already aware of it. That's when they told me about the Order. And that's when I found out.
  • Clamor: So, the Masters at Elrianode finally caught up and started taking action.
  • Yuria: Our family decided to accept Master Denif's request. And since we were the closest, we were headed first to the advance party.
  • Noah: Were you at the temple as part of the mission?
  • Yuria: Mm... Ahhh... Well... That was on my insistence, really. I had a hunch that temple had something to do with the Order. I thought it needed investigation. I was hesitant to do so when there was a mission that should be prioritized, so I was going to check briefly and only let Titania know...
  • Clamor: You just happened to trust the wrong person.
  • Yuria: Really. I thought that temple could be the Order's headquarters. Who knew it was basically a dragon's lair prepared to swallow me whole?
  • Noah: Can you tell us more about the missive?
  • Yuria: Hm... I really shouldn't by principle, but since you already know about the Order, and since this whole thing blew up...... I think the main branch suspected there were spies from the Order within the family for a long time.
  • Clamor: And that was Titania?
  • Yuria: I don't know. There could be more, but there's really no way to tell. However... When I saw Titania harm the people at camp and attack me, it convinced me that the Order is truly dangerous. And as the leader of the camp, I hold more responsibility than anyone else. I will capture Titania, the traitor, and interrogate her.
  • Noah: Yuria...
  • Yuria: Oh, by the way, you two are also a target of interrogation. It seems you are against the Order, but how did you know about them?! You'll have to tell me when this is all over.
  • Noah: Alright. Once this is all over... I think I can tell you.

Description

Noah talks about what happened when he first woke up, to deduce Titania's true goal.

Quest Acceptance Dialogue
  • Yuria: It's dark... We're going down endlessly. Noah, do you know what's down there?
  • Noah: I don't know. I haven't been this far down... Whatever it is, it won't be ordinary. The things up there were bad enough, and this is even more hidden away...
  • Clamor: Since they are a bunch of nutjobs who would sacrifice humans to create Masters, maybe they fried to create a God by sacrificing a nation.
  • Yuria: Wha, wh, what!
  • Clamor: It, It's a joke! I didn't mean anything by it! Why are you so shocked! It's not possible to do something like that! Black magic comedy! Tsk, people at Seven Tower would have appreciated it.
  • Noah: There's a thousand years between us. That makes your joke several generations worse than an average dad joke. (Huh? Wait...)
  • Yuria: Whoa! You're an ego weapon created a thousand years ago? Wow... Truly, fantastic! What magician could have been capable of creating conscience that remains intact for more than a thousand years?
  • Clamor: Huhu, that amazing magician is me. I created me.
  • Yuria: Telling terrible jokes IS a terrible side effect.
  • Noah: ... Um, when I first woke up. I had to leave this area immediately because I needed to. But later, I thought I should investigate the temple where I woke up again. So I tried to come back... but I couldn't. The whole area was blocked because there was a plague going around.
  • Yuria: (When he first woke up?)
  • Noah: They released the containment order once they learned it wasn't contagious, but a lot of time has passed by then... When I finally arrived at the manor, it was after someone already left, and I couldn't fin anything.
  • Yuria: A plague? I didn't hear anything about a plague...? What were the symptoms?
  • Noah: I didn't actually see it, but I heard the bodies were mutated, and they had strange patterns all over. Just like that monster Titania summoned.
  • Clamor: ... Do you think it was Titania's doing?
  • Noah: I hope not... But I think it's likely. Even when she was chased, she didn't leave this area. When Clamor and I were under an illusion, she left us behind.
  • Yuria: I also get the feeling that she has something more urgent to do. Even when she was fighting me, it felt like she had another goal.
  • Noah: This is what I think. Titania needed to hold back the Landar family, since they are veterans with lots of experience under their belt. So she weakened them, maybe by poisoning them, and put them under an illusion spell. However, she had to face Yuria brienfly, when Yuria came out of the temple earlier than expected. Afterwards, she hurried to the Hill, mutating monsters along the way, and encountered me. She tried to take me down, thinking I'll be in her way... But was stopped again, this time by Clamor.
  • Clamor: She had to step back again. SHe must have come here to the manor right away after that, and now she's continuing downwards despite our continuous interference...
  • Yuria: Hmm... I think I might get what you're saying? So, you think the cause of the mutation is somewhere down there?
  • Noah: Yes. I'm sorry, it's a bit complicated, isn't it? I'll explain everything later.
  • Yuria: Hmmm, alright, I'll take your word for it. What I'm wondering is, if Titania could cause mutation all this time, why didn't she already? She could have used it on us.
  • Noah: I think she is planning on using it. Before she left at the Hills, she told me I was going to wish I were dead. Considering the mutation plague that spread around Lanox... I think Titania is here to spread the mutation far and wide.... I might be reading too much into this... But something's definitely going on down there.
  • Clamor: .......... It must be the mass incubation plan using the Incubator. That's what the report we found said at the end. I believe that's the key. Noah, Yuria, once we find the Incubator, we have to neutralize the cycling spell behind it immeidiately. That should cause it to stop shortly, even if it's activated.
  • Noah: Let's split up here. If what I think is true, this is serious. If we both fail, the entire Lanox region could be in danger.
  • Yuria: The people at camp are still recovering. If something like that happens, they won't be able to handle it. Alright, there's really no other way. I'll go this way. Let's meet again unharmed, ok?
Quest Completion Dialogue
  • Clamor: ... I can't believe an invention by an undergrad led to such catastrophic results...
  • Noah: You didn't know your invention would be used this way.
  • Clamor: Can ignorance truly excuse the harm that's done? There were plenty of forbidden magic in my day as well. They were made with good intention, but the problem always rose when the use deviated from its original intent. For example, there was... the Rain Maker. A device that gathered rain clouds in a specific location to summon rain. It was developed to help put out fire and be used for farming. It was a useful tool. Up until a lunatic decided to activate the Rain Maker where the grounds were unstable to purposefully set a landslide.
  • Noah: Why would someone...?
  • Clamor: Noah, the intention does not matter. Magitech scholars must be aware of every intention, mistake, accidents that could potentially happen. It was a failure in design... I'm sorry you have to clean up after my mess.
  • Noah: Don't be. I understand why you might feel responsible, but I think it's the Order's fault for using it this way. The Order approached the Rossos who needed power, and now, they're planning on something bigger based on that. I wasn't able to last time... But this time, I'm going to stop it.
  • Clamor: ... But it's too dangerous. If you're hurt...
  • Noah: If I miss this chance because Titania takes me down, I'll have to start all over again.... But I'm prepared for it. As long as I get the chance, I'll save Yuria, and stop Titania with you as many times as it takes.
  • Clamor: .......
  • Noah: I'll be ok. Because I'm no longer alone. Even if we have to start all over again, I'll be in your care, Clamor.
  • Clamor: ... Noah.......... Don't act like we've lost already! A simple 'let's go together' would have been enough!
  • Noah: Agh! Breaking the mood like that. At least he's back to normal.
  • (CRACK... SLAM!)
  • Clamor: Yikes! A crack on the ground... Thank goodness you didn't slip. Can you get up?
  • Noah: ... Wait, This isn't an ordinary...
  • (FHLLP)
  • Noah: The vines are pulling...! We're going to fall!

  • (CRACK.. CRACK CRACK...)
  • Clamor: Uuugh... Noah, are you alright?
  • Noah: Ugh, I was surprised... but I'm fine.
  • Clamor: You're not hurt? I did cast a protection spell the moment I realized we were falling, but it was so sudden. I probably didn't managed to absorb all the impact.
  • Noah: I'm not hurt. I'm just a little exhausted. We can rest when everything is over, though. Anyway... I thought we went down pretty far, but this place is even deeper. Is this where the incubation experiment took place? So... Why did you drag me down here, Titania?
