Quest Completion Dialogue
  • Betty: ...... .......
  • Diana: Betty! What's wrong? Nervous? Hungry? Should I give you gold coins?
  • Victoria: As you can see... The Bettys are refusing to act as our eyes.
  • Stirbargen: That won't do. Not that I had high hopes.
  • Stirbargen: Now then, which one of you would it be?
  • Victoria: .......
  • Diana: ... Mrr, I...
  • Vasili: I'll go.
  • Diana: What? You can't!
  • Vasili: There's no other choice. We can't have the Queen leave the tribe.
  • Victoria: ... Yes. Sorry.
  • Vasili: Those who aren't awakened will have a hard time enduring it. Plus... If something happens, we need at least one Awakened one to support the Queen.
  • Vasili: It's better that I leave as the unstable one. I'm the only acceptable candidate.
  • Diana: If something happens? Don't say it like that.
  • Vasili: It is what it is. Right now, we have a problem and we need to find a solution.
  • Diana: .......
  • Stirbargen: It's decided then? Let's get a move on... Hm?
  • Stirbargen: Oh? Now this is an interesting turn of events.
  • Victoria: Huh? What do you mean?
  • Stirbargen: We have guests. Let's go greet them.
  • Lu: Tir! What are you doing here! Just what are you up to!
  • Ciel: Calm down, Lu. This is Red Demon Territory. He's right at home.
  • Laby: Oooh? Laby haven't seen you before. Hello! I'm Laby!
  • Stirbargen: Hello, long time no see! Have you grown? Though I see Lu's still tiny.
  • Stirbargen: ... And now you have a suspicious being in your group.
  • Laby: Uugh...? Are you talking about Laby?
  • Victoria: You were still here? I'm sorry to tell you, but we're about to leave this place.
  • Raven: You're leaving the village? Is it because of what we've found?
  • Stirbargen: Oh? What did you find?
  • Raven: We found a strange phenomenon as we were passing Ran's Castle. Lu said it was dangerous, so we thought you should know.
  • Lu: ... We found Abyss. A massive one, not too far from here.

  • [After Exiting Shadow Earl's Castle.]
  • Ara: I... can't believe it.
  • Chung: A, and then he showed me the safe way out of Red Demon Territory.
  • Chung: I'm sory about Aren leaving. I should have stopped him...
  • Ara: Don't worry. I'm not angry at you, Chung.
  • Ara: Aren... How could he leave without a word. I didn't think he'd be so headstrong.
  • Ara: He must still think of me as a child. Even though I'm no longer that naive young girl I once was! He didn't think he could rely on me!
  • Chung: I, I think you are very reliable! Truly!
  • Aisha: I understand how Ara's feeling. I didn't think Aren would leave like that without a word.
  • Eve: It would have been great to talk more and share more information.
  • Laby: Maybe he suddenly remembered something to do?
  • Ciel: ...... Hm.
  • Ciel: Hey, I'm sensing something odd. Do you feel anything, Lu?
  • Lu: So you feel it, too. It's a massive current of demonic energy.
  • Lu: It's a familiar feeling... If it's what I think it is, we should be on our guard. It's not something to be taken lightly.
  • Ain: .......
  • Rena: Ah, hey? Is everyone feeling alright?
  • Rena: No one's feeling sluggish, or have sudden chills?
  • Rose: Hm? Ah... No. Not at all.
  • Laby: Laby's feeling peachy! Is something wrong, Rena?
  • Rena: Is it just me? I'm sensing something strange from earlier. Like shivers down my spine, and feeling a bit woozy...
  • Aisha: Are you ok? Perhaps we should take a rest.
  • Ain: (... It's a repulsive feeling.)
  • Ain: (Something I haven't felt since Feita.)
  • Rose: It might be fatigue from traveling uphill.
  • Rose: Let's rest while scouting around. Oh, is that dark thing the sea of the demon realm?
  • Chung: Something doesn't seem right.
  • Raven: It doesn't make sense that the sea would be located here... Wait here. I'll go check it out.
  • Laby: Laby will go, too! Laby knows about sea!
  • Noah: Um... ... Are you alright?
  • Rena: Totally. Sorry if I worried you. I'm sure it's nothing.
  • Rena: I'm just on edge because it's been oddly quiet.
  • Noah: What do you mean?
  • Rena: You see, there are spirits in the demon realm as well. Even though they don't like to come near us.
  • Rena: But I haven't seen any... for a while now.
  • Eve: It's strange. We also haven't encountered any beasts since we've left Magmelia and Ran's castle.
  • Eve: If the spirits are also gone... Then there's truly nothing here. It's oddly... empty.
  • Ara: Maybe it's always this empty?
  • Elesis: I don't think that's likely... If there's nothing here, there's no reason for the Dream Demons to do business here.
  • Add: Who knows. Maybe they're that bad at business.
  • Chung: W, wait. Something's wrong! The compass is pointing a different direction all of a sudden...
  • Elsword: Hey, everyone! Come check this out! There's something weird here!
  • Aisha: Wait... That's... W, what?
  • Ciel: Aren... Just where were you leading us?

Description

What the El Search Party found, was a large pit called Abyss.
The El Search Party was surprised to hear the description.

Quest Completion Dialogue
  • Add: What we saw was a massive pit. It was overflowing with demonic energy.
  • Aisha: It was sure intimidating. Ugh...! It felt like I was getting sucked in, just from looking at it.
  • Chung: It looked very close, despite the distance. I kept checking where I was standing, to make sure I wasn't standing at the edge of the cliff.
  • Elsword: Lu thought we should warn you when she saw it, so we came back.
  • Victoria: So you found it, too. We knew there was a small Abyss around here for a while now.
  • Victoria: It was too big to take care of it, but we thought it might disappear on its own since it hasn't increased in size...
  • Vasili: Is that... why you've come back? Just to warn us?
  • Elesis: Yeah. It sounded really dangerous. All the beasts and spirits probably ran away because of the Abyss, too.
  • Elsword: We don't know how dangerous this Abyss is, but you should be careful, since your village might be affected.
  • Vasili: Aah, I... see... Thank you...
  • Lu: Hmph, what are you doing, standing as if you belong here.
  • Stirbargen: Don't mind me. I'm just listening.
  • Aisha: Oh, uh... So, about that Abyss... We don't really know anything about it other than the fact that it's dangerous. Could you tell us more about it?
  • Victoria: As you've seen, Abyss is a pit where demonic energy flows out. It appears all across the Demon Realm, but you can find more around here.
  • Victoria: It's not that common, so I'm not surprised it's the first time you've seen it.
  • Lu: Yes. It used to appear in my land as well. But Abyss itself it quite a rare phenomenon.
  • Lu: Even rarer still, in Varnimyr and Aegirp's land. So it must have slipped my mind.
  • Rena: Something like that just appears without warning? I wouldn't be able to sleep from worrying about it.
  • Diana: It's fine! We have some resistance to the demonic energy of Abyss. Not a lot, but enough to buy us time.
  • Vasili: We would have tried to get rid of it, if the Abyss was in its early stages... But that's no longer an option.
  • Victoria: Abyss starts off small, but continues to grow. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule.
  • Victoria: It might remain the same for hundreds of years, or disappear before the day is even over.
  • Laby: Maybe, maybe not. So it does whatever it wants!
  • Diana: Yes. But there's one common trait. No matter the size, the demonic energy from Abyss is very dense.
  • Victoria: The kind that will make you lose consciousness from merely approaching it. That's why even the greatest demons avoid Abyss.
  • Vasili: There are monsters and curses in Abyss. It's best you never approach it.
  • Stirbargen: Heading inside Abyss on your own basically means you forfeit your own life!
  • Ain: The reason why we haven't encountered any beasts in Red Demon Territory, and what Ms. Elf and I felt... They were all effects of that Abyss.
  • Chung: There's so much information, it's difficult to take it all in. So, what you're saying is that we shouldn't go near that Abyss?
  • Laby: But the Abyss is right in the way of where we have to go! Should we go around it?
  • Stirbargen: Hmph, wishful thinking.
  • Stirbargen: But you guys have potential! Why don't you challenge the Abyss? It'll be fun!
  • Lu: Hey now! Who are you trying to drag into danger!
  • Vasili: ...... Excuse me.
  • Vasili: I do know a way out of Red Demon Territory by going around the Abyss. If you'd like...
  • Elsword: What? Of course! You'll be doing us a favor.
  • Stirbargen: Ah ah.
  • Vasili: Or... not...?
  • Lu: Don't pressure the child.
  • Raven: There's no reason for us to go all at once. We'll go check out the premises while you rest here.

  • Rose: This book... Let's see... This is the only part that's legible. 'A Story I Heard When I Was Young'.
  • Rose: 'In the beginning, they say, only a small darkness existed in a desolate wasteland.'
  • Rose: 'A lonely point, an opening in the earth, a handprint left by god.'
  • Rose: 'It swallowed the lands and grew.'
  • Rose: 'And we crawled out of it, or so they say.'
  • Rose: 'The visage of sin, that which escapes the long darkness and crawls out towards the light.'
  • Rose: 'Cursed being, return back to the beginning.'
  • Laby: So spooooky. What do they mean, cursed being?
  • Rena: All the stories in the Demon Realm seem to have an ominous feel to it. Like that song Lu sang to us in Varnimyr.
  • Victoria: That's legend for you. I did hear a theory that all demons originate from Abyss.
  • Victoria: That only monsters exist in Abyss, but when they left, they obtained identity, will, and knowledge.
  • Aisha: Genesis? It doesn't seem so scary anymore from that angle.
  • Rena: Is that so...? It seems too grim, don't you think? And the speaker seems to have changed.
  • Chung: .......
  • Elsword: Chung. Are you alright?
  • Chung: Yes. Did I miss something?
  • Aisha: Not really. Just worried you're feeling uneasy because of the compass.
  • Chung: Ah, it's fine. I was just thinking about what the Red Demon King said.
  • Chung: When we went near the Abyss, the compass suddenly moved, as if it were snatched by something invisible.
  • Chung: After that, it hasn't stopped pointing towards the Abyss.
  • Aisha: I'm glad you're not feeling uneasy, but yeah... It's strange, isn't it?
  • Chung: I imbued the power of my guardian stone into the compass. That means the compass is pointing towards something that has similar properties to that of the El.
  • Aisha: Like the Dark El?
  • Chung: I'm not sure... But it's possible. Our purpose it to check if the Dark El is fit to completely restore Large El and to retrieve it, if it's a match.
  • Elsword: But we can't go there. It sounds too dangerous.
  • Chung: Yes. That's why everyone's searching for a way to go around the Abyss. I understand.
  • Chung: But... I still want to confirm with my own eyes. I don't know what it is, but if we don't check, the compass will continue to point to the Abyss.
  • Aisha: Chung....
  • Chung: If I said I wished to go on my own...
  • Elsword: .......
  • Elsword: Don't be stupid. If you try that, I'm going to stop you.
  • Aisha: Elsword! Don't be so harsh...
  • Elsword: I don't think it's the Dark El. And...
  • Elsword: If you have to go, we're all going together.
  • Chung: .......
  • Ara: Hey, everyone?
  • Ara: We have much to tell you. Will you all come this way?

Description

The expansion of the Abyss was because of someone the El Search Party was familiar with.

Quest Completion Dialogue
  • Ciel: ... Hey, isn't this too much of a detour? It will take 3 times our estimated time frame.
  • Vasili: This is the only safe path you have. The path through the neutral zone Aren gave you is now blocked due to the Abyss.
  • Vasili: If you stray too far from the path, you'll end up in other Dream Demons' territory.
  • Add: You make it sound so ominous... but why is this such a big deal?
  • Vasili: .......
  • Vasili: The short cut you've chosen will force you to enter two different factions.
  • Vasili: One is under jurisdiction of Queen Medovine, the holder of nine golden hearts. Everything is a gamble here. Even your life.
  • Vasili: The Queen of Golden Heart... A collector who hoards anything precious.
  • Vasili: I cannot imagine what kind of value she'd attribute to those from Elrios.
  • Ain: A hoarder... Then we could potentially end up as her collection.
  • Vasili: Beyond the Queen's territory is the hunter's land. There, the Torta Brothers are in charge. They're truly ruthless.
  • Lu: ... Why are you whispering all of a sudden?
  • Vasili: Most of us are from there. We were able to escape under the condition that we seal the power of our eyes.
  • Vasili: You saw the scars on Ikus's faces. Please don't mention this around others.
  • Vasili: They'll all be... scared.
  • Lu: I thought there might be a story behind it, but I had no idea. Does that mean you're from somewhere else? You don't seem to have a scar.
  • Vasili: ... Pardon me, Steel Queen. I do not wish to burden you with my personal, pitiful story.
  • Raven: Understandable. Then let's get back to the topic at hand. These Dream Demons must be very hostile for you to react like this.
  • Vasili: Yes. But who they are really doesn't matter. You should never go against any group that doesn't fear death.
  • Raven: But... Is there no other way? This forces us to deviate from our path too much. It will take weeks just getting out of Red Demon Territory.
  • Elesis: We can't exactly wait for the Abyss to close, since we cannot predict when or, even whether it would close...
  • Ciel: This is quite cumbersome... If only the Abyss would just disappear one day.
  • Stirbargen: Ha! That is an option, you know. You just have to get rid of the catalyst that abruptly expanded the Abyss!
  • Lu: I told you not to interfere.
  • Elesis: Red Demon King. You seem to be eager to send us to the Abyss. What's your game?
  • Stirbargen: I was waiting for you to ask me the question. Aww, don't look at me like that. I just wanted to ask you for a deal!
  • Add: It's not like we're on friendly terms.
  • Stirbargen: Haha. Still, a friendly greeting goes a long way. Who knows? Maybe I can be useful along the way.
  • Stirbargen: The Abyss is in a critical state. It's expanding faster as time goes on.
  • Stirbargen: It's more threatening than any other Abyss I've seen before. At this rate, the entire Red Demon Territory may be swallowed up by the Abyss before long.
  • Stirbargen: If I don't do something... I may have to call myself the King of Abyss.
  • Eve: I understand that the situation is worsening, but I don't see how that concerns us.
  • Stirbargen: Hey, hey! I'm getting there! Slow down.
  • Stirbargen: What if I tell you... The culprit behind the one expanding the Abyss is no other than our dear friend, Earl Ran?
  • Ara: .......
  • Stirbargen: Hm? How about it? Interested?
  • Ara: ... I...
  • Ara: I think this is a matter we must discuss all together. I will bring the others.

  • Elsword: ... I don't buy it. You said it yourself. Entering Abyss is basically like forfeiting your own life.
  • Stirbargen: Tell me about it! I was surprised to. I know Ran is called the Earl of Abyss, but it's not like he can actually do much in one.
  • Ara: But didn't you say that demons from Red Demon Territory are used to Abyss...?
  • Stirbargen: We do. That's why we live here despite its occasional holes. But entering one, is a whole other story.
  • Stirbargen: If he did manage to conquer the Abyss, I'd also like to know how.
  • Noah: He could have charged in recklessly?
  • Noah: I don't know since I haven't actually met him, but he could have been desperate.
  • Stirbargen: Yeah, I don't think so. He looked like he had a clear goal. I believe he acquired something...
  • Stirbargen: I suspect he's planning to use that something to manipulate the endless demonic energy of Abyss.
  • Stirbargen: That's why I was planning on using one of the Dream Demons to scout it out... When you and Luciela came along!
  • Stirbargen: What an unexpected coincidence, don't you think?
  • Rena: Hm? For someone who said they didn't know what Ran was up to, you sure seem to be very aware of it.
  • Stirbargen: I suppose. Ever since I got my eye back in Varnimyr, I was watching him. I was curious what he was going to do after he stabbed my back.
  • Raven: If you were watching Ran, you could have stopped him at any point.
  • Raven: Then isn't this essentially from your negligence?
  • Stirbargen: Huhuhu, I told you. I was curious what he would do next.
  • Elesis: Hold on... But you must have another reason you left him be. Can't you take this seriously for one moment?
  • Lu: Sigh... Believe it or not, he is likely very serious.
  • Lu: That knave would sell his soul as long as it entertains him or satisfies his curiosity.
  • Stirbargen: As I was saying, my purpose is to stop Ran.
  • Stirbargen: The demonic energy from the Abyss is immense, and unknown... even rumored to be the origin of demons.
  • Stirbargen: I don't know how Ran plans to take that power... and if it's even possible... But.
  • Stirbargen: If he succeeds, there wouldn't be a single entity that can defeat Ran. Both the Demon Realm, and Elrios.
  • Add: So you want to get rid of him before he tries to take over your throne?
  • Stirbargen: Huh? Not necessarily. I actually think it's impressive.
  • Stirbargen: Hahaha! Just how far can Ran take this? My heart is pounding from anticipation!
  • Elsword: What...? You're... excited?
  • Stirbargen: Of course? The most powerful in the universe, who masters the demonic energy of the Abyss! It's essentially the return of the demon god from the legends!
  • Stirbargen: To actually witness its birth... It really thrills me.
  • Stirbargen: Oh... But there will be nothing left after that.
  • Raven: What do you mean?
  • Stirbargen: Once Ran becomes indisputably invincible... Who would be left to defeat him?
  • Rena: Wait, I can't follow your logic at all. Can you explain this step by step?
  • Rena: Do you want to encourage Ran, or stop him?
  • Stirbargen: Neither, really. Ran is not the important factor. I want demon lords, and the defeat of demons lords.
  • Stirbargen: I want the birth of a hero. A nobody who achieves what no one achieved and rise to new heights.
  • Stirbargen: Then, for an usurper to drag him back down.
  • Aisha: Just what are you on about!
  • Stirbargen: What I want is for my heart to tremble, to have it fall to the pit of my stomach, then swell again as if I'm walking on clouds.
  • Stirbargen: The rise and the fall. An outstanding climb and a pitiful drop! A humble victory and an epic defeat. A victory and defeat that cannot be determined until all the cards are turned.
  • Stirbargen: The rule of the gambling board, where everything builds up slow, but the value is determined and flipped in an instant.
  • Stirbargen: But... If Ran becomes the strongest, who will give him defeat and ruin?
  • Stirbargen: Where would I look for my source of entertainment?
  • Ain: ... You mean, once that demon gains the power of Abyss, everything will be over, and no one would be able to stand against him.
  • Ain: And you can't have that happen, since you will no longer find anything you can wager on.
  • Aisha: Are you insane?
  • Stirbargen: That's it! You finally understand what I want! Haha! Hahahaha!
  • Stirbargen: The throne? Who cares? The only thing that moves me is entertainment.
  • Stirbargen: To tell you the truth, I don't think you can actually win. But, you're a new player, with your values yet undetermined.
  • Stirbargen: The power of origin that swallows everything. The one who wish to obtain the power, and the adventurers from another world who wish to stop him to achieve victory... This time, that's where I want to place my bet.
  • Stirbargen: Now! I believe I sufficiently explained myself. How about it? Would you like to be my pawn in this game?
  • Lu: .......
  • Vasili: I, I'd like to ask as well. I know it's a lot to ask...
  • Vasili: But Earl Ran must be stopped here.

  • Add: We decide whether or not to stop him. However, I'd like to ask one question.
  • Stirbargen: What is it?
  • Add: What would be your stake in this game?
  • Add: You send us to the Abyss to stop Ran... I need to know what you're risking in this plan.
  • Stirbargen: I will send all my eyes with you down to the Abyss.
  • Raven: You're not coming with us?
  • Stirbargen: I'll see you to the entrance of the Abyss!
  • Elsword: What, so you're not risking anything?
  • Lu: ... 'All' your eyes?
  • Stirbargen: Yup. Unfortunately, I only have two. This is all I have.
  • Lu: Aha, then you must be quite serious abut seeing this through.
  • Stirbargen: I'm honored, Steel Queen, that you understand this lowly jester.
  • Lu: Stop with your act. I distinctively remember your flippant attitude leading to more trouble.
  • Eve: Lu, are you actually considering Red Demon King's deal?
  • Lu: Yes. To actually lend us all his eyes... It is the equivalent of entrusting us with all his limbs.
  • Stirbargen: Because I have high expectations.
  • Rose: Hm... But this isn't a matter to be decided so lightly.
  • Add: ... I'm in.
  • Raven: There must be a reason why you're so willing.
  • Add: From what we've gathered, the Demon Realm is affected in some way by Abyss.
  • Add: Which means the more we travel around the Demon Realm, the more likely it is for us to encounter Abyss.
  • Add: But we do not know anything about demonic energy. The power to influence the mind... It's something we need a lot more data on.
  • Add: With everything considered, this is the most ideal opportunity.
  • Add: We have a demon lord who's willing to cooperate, and these demons have to actively help us in order for them to survive.
  • Victoria: Yes... As long as we can resolve this situation, we'll help in any way we can.
  • Raven: I didn't think we'd face Ran this way... Though I suppose it was to be expected.
  • Chung: From he response from the compass, it may have something to do with the Dark El as well.
  • Elesis: True. We have more than enough reason to go check it out... But I still feel uneasy.
  • Eve: We don't have time to think on this matter... And it's confining us.
  • Elsword: But... If Tir is right, Ran is getting stronger by the moment, even now.
  • Stirbargen: Oooh, so you accept? I'm glad. You always meet my expectation.
  • Ciel: Is this a trap? He seems too excited...
  • Stirbargen: Don't worry. I've got you a guide.
  • Vasili: .......

  • (STEP, STEP, STEP....)
  • Elsword: We were hoping to go around it to avoid danger, but somehow ended up walking right into it.
  • Ciel: Since it's unknown how big this Abyss will expand, all the Dream Demons will be evacuated. For now, they'd be headed towards the border area near White-Ghost Land.
  • Rena: It might have been a mistake to accept the deal...
  • Laby: Hehee, do you all know each other? Your name is Tir? How do you know Lu? When did you meet?
  • Stirbargen: Why should I tell you?
  • Laby: Booo... He doesn't like Laby for no reason!
  • Ara: I wonder if Aren is alright... I hope he's not in the Abyss...
  • Aisha: Don't worry, Ara. He could have taken another route. He definitely knows his way around this area, so I'm sure he can easily avoid trouble.
  • Clamor: That Red Demon King doesn't seem too trustworthy. Looks like others are keeping their distance as well.
  • Noah: Mm... But I agree that this Ran must be stopped. I saw the state of Elrios after the invasion.
  • Clamor: Ah, you did say you traveled around before breaking my seal. I see...
  • Clamor: I understand why we must go... I guess I'll just have to be more vigilant to keep you safe!
  • Noah: You mean, you're just going to stay like this without revealing your identity...
  • Clamor: Noah, no good can come out of telling everyone I'm not a normal weapon. It could be dangerous for you.
  • Clamor: Of course, these people seem trustworthy... But just in case.
  • Clamor: I believe it's more useful for me to pretend I'm a normal weapon to protect you in emergency situations.
  • Clamor: You could say I'm a weapon up your sleeve!
  • Noah: Sure... I look forward to your shining achievements.
  • Vasili: .......
  • Rena: (He looks tense. I wonder if he's nervous.)
  • Rena: Hey, can I ask something? You talked about a way to get rid of Abyss. What is that method?
  • Vasili: Oh... If you get rid of the Heart Core, you can get rid of Abyss.
  • Vasili: But it must be done at the earliest stage... When the Abyss is small. Once it reaches twice the size of an average demon, it's no longer possible.
  • Ain: Even when it's no bigger than a well?
  • Vasili: Yes. It's not viable, so I didn't mention it. There's really no way to tell if larger Abyss even has a Heart Core.
  • Chung: I see. Since no one can enter, I suppose no one could confirm its existence.
  • Vasili: Yes. There's no way to tell...
  • Rose: But is it fine for you to assist us like this? Even though you're following the Red Demon King's orders, you may incur Ran's wrath.
  • Vasili: The alliance with Earl Ran has already ended. And please refrain from calling this 'assistance'. I have my own reasons.
  • Vasili: ... Wait. Don't tell me... You thought I was helping from the goodness of my heart?
  • Laby: You're not?
  • Elsword: You do know that we gave you every demon currency we have, right? We don't have a single coin left.
  • Vasili: That's not it! Weren't you listening? The Abyss will overflow!
  • Aisha: Is that... bad?
  • Vasili: If the Abyss overflows, most of Red Demon Territory will be useless. Then the demons who call this land their home will be forced to look for some place else.
  • Raven: ... Red Demon King. I don't think you mentioned any of this.
  • Stirbargen: I didn't? Well, he's right. They will be forced out and scattered across the Demon Realm.
  • Stirbargen: But where will they go? The Land of Feral Beasts? The Land of Stubborn Elves and Spirits? The Barren Land of the Steel Queen? The territory of Dark-Eye King is not even worth mentioning.
  • Stirbargen: Huhuhu, I wonder how far my cute and wicked subordinates would go in order to ensure their survival.
  • Elesis: ... Stop with the threats. We're already on the same boat.
  • Noah: Threat? What do you mean...?
  • Raven: He's talking about the possibility of another Elrios Invasion.
  • Ara: What...!
  • Raven: Unlike last time when they sent out an official army, this could be a matter of life and death for both sides, leading into a chaotic fight until either party is wiped out.
  • Elsword: No... Even if that happens, we already stopped them once. We can keep them out a second time.
  • Elesis: It doesn't matter if we were successful, Elsword. Demons already invaded Elrios once. Though they failed in the end, they left a heavy mark.
  • Elesis: Now, it's on everyone's mind that Elrios can be invaded.
  • Raven: It is possible to invade Elrios. We've done it once, we can do it again... Now, ist is an option.
  • Raven: Though the El has been temporarily restored, the invasion attempt will continue as long as that opportunity is available.
  • Vasili: ... We do not want another war like that. Which is why I'm here.
  • Chung: That's why you wanted us to defeat Ran.
  • Vasili: ... I finally get it. You're not nice. You're just pure idiots.
  • Elsword: Hey, no need to throw insults. Sorry we're ignorant.
  • Elsword: But we learned Ran is in the Abyss because we came to warn you.
  • Laby: And if we defeat Ran, you can stay in Magmelia!
  • Vasili: Is that so... Um, well... In any case, thank you. And... sorry.
  • Vasili: As you might have noticed... We don't have much power.
  • Vasili: Luckily, we were able to build Magmelia... But even that was because Ran abandoned his territory.
  • Vasili: That's why we didn't think much about going to Elrios. We had nowhere to go. So it didn't matter...
  • Vasili: But you have somewhere to return to. Why get involved in a dangerous operation like this?
  • Aisha: Because that 'place to return to' will be in danger if we don't.
  • Rena: I second that. Besides, if I have to choose between not being able to return, and the place to return disappearing, I'd choose the first option every time.
  • Lu: Better to find what we can do than to worry about it.
  • Vasili: ... I see. You're right.
  • Vasili: It's fascinating. There's not that many of you, and you're strong, don't get me wrong... But I don't think it's your strength that carried you here.
  • Vasili: I always thought the weak have their own way of survival. That usually means conforming. Letting go and accepting what is.
  • Vasili: But watching you, makes me think... Perhaps there was another way for us... Perhaps there is, even now.
  • Vasili: .......
  • Laby: Don't worry. Once everything's done, you can go back to your friends.
  • Vasili: Ah, no... I... I said too much. Please forget everything I said...
  • Stirbargen: .......

Description

They are running out of breath. The unpleasant feeling sticks to the body, giving chills and tensing the muscles. Abyss, the ominous pit rumored to be the origin of demons. The demonic energy flowing from the pits is sending off all the warning signals as they approach closer. From reading each other's movement, they realize everyone's thinking the same thing. No one wants to go. This could truly be the end. But everyone stopped their bodies from running the other direction and stood resolutely. They didn't have to go to know. The Abyss is dangerous.
That's why they knew, if they let Ran obtain this power, there will be no future for Elrios.
The places they know, the people they met, all the bonds they formed will be crushed.
This is the first and the last stand. There's no other option.

Quest Completion Dialogue

  • ... ... ... ...
  • Aisha: Uhhh. It's even worse close by... Are we really doing this?
  • Ain: Ugh...
  • Elsword: Are you ok, Ain? Can you handle it?
  • Ain: Don't worry. It's manageable. But... to think, this is just what managed to escape... Are you sure we can go inside?
  • Stirbargen: That's why you need my eyes. If you go in without it, you'll all be useless from the distortion.
  • Stirbargen: As long as you stay within my sight, you'll be able to somewhat handle the demonic energy from the Abyss.
  • Add: How does it work?
  • Stirbargen: You could say it's the trick of the eye. It'll increase resistance to you, as long as you're within the...
  • Stirbargen: Ah, blah blah blah, who cares. In any case, you have to be within sight of the eye, or you won't receive any protection. Just a minor inconvenience.
  • Stirbargen: Oh, and I can't do anything while I'm watching over you, so any hardship or trials are yours to handle.
  • Eve: It's not just a minor inconvenience.
  • Raven: Judging from what we see, it must be massive inside. I don't think we'll be able to effectively scout out the area.
  • Noah: Do we need to? Since Abyss becomes narrower as you go deeper like an upside-down cone...
  • Noah: ... and Ran would be at the deepest, narrowest part, we just have to go straight down, right?
  • Raven: True. But the path to get there might not be so simple, like a maze.
  • Elsword: But can't we just scan the routes? We have Eve, Add, and Zero on our side.
  • Eve: That will be difficult. The demonic energy from the Abyss cause noise, greatly limiting our ability to scan and get reception.
  • Add: Not only is it difficult to scan, it makes the data we receive from that scan unreliable.
  • Zero: Same here. The best I can do is sense enemies approaching, and map out our progress.
  • Elesis: ... It's just one thing after another. Even with the protection from Red Demon King's Eye, we can't stay down there forever.
  • Raven: Yes. It's near impossible to have a prolonged, extended search within the Abyss.
  • Raven: We will fall apart the moment Ran decides to play the long game.
  • Laby: Then what other way is there? Will you tell us as the guide?
  • Vasili: I will go first and leave a trail. I can follow Earl Ran's aura even in midst of disrupting demonic energy.
  • Vasili: You just need to wait here, then follow my path.
  • Rose: Hm... That should greatly reduce time, and minimize the likelihood of getting lost in the Abyss.
  • Ain: Then are you taking one of the eyes?
  • Vasili: No. I'm headed straight in.
  • Chung: Will you be alright...?
  • Stirbargen: Our first plan was to send this one down with one of my eyes to learn what Ran was up to.
  • Stirbargen: But now we got the option to face Ran head-on with you. Which means you have to stay safe until you face him.
  • Rose: Isn't it reckless? I thought the demonic energy of Abyss is dangerous even for you.
  • Vasili: It's fine. This may be sudden for you, but...
  • Vasili: Since we decided to stop him, I wish you best of luck. The best I could have hoped for alone was to buy some time, but with you...
  • Ciel: ... There's no other option.
  • Lu: We'll have to rely on you. Don't worry, we'll have your back.
  • Vasili: One more thing. If there's anything that gets in your way, take it down and be on your way.
  • Vasili: No matter what, don't waste your time on any obstacles.
  • Vasili: Huhuhu... ... I'll be on my way.
