- Average damage is tested on small (e.g., Lowe) to medium targets (e.g., Wooden Doll) with realistic positioning.
- Maximum damage for large-hitbox skills may be unattainable in-game and is estimated.
- Timed buffs are included only if they alter skill function or appear in the tooltip; permanent boosts are always included.

Tips and Details
- The Magical Spears can only fully hit sufficiently tall enemies that are roughly the height of the Abaddon gate itself. Conversely, the Sephiroth spear can only hit sufficiently wide enemies, though this is much less restrictive, only missing one hit on most targets.
- Enemies a platform above you will be roughly in the center of the skill, and thus take more hits than enemies at the upper or lower edges.
- Enemies will be juggled by the Magical Spears if they are hit while in mid-air, carrying them upwards into the skill to potentially deal more hits.
- The buff does not apply to this skill's own cast if it's not already active, necessitating the use of Switching Skills to get back to 10 Combination Gauge first before you can start benefiting from its effect.
- Since Spear's Descent can be cast pre-emptively and fired whenever later, it is by far the best skill to use to bring you back up to 10 Gauge quickly, before the rather short 5 second duration of the buff wears off.
- Due to Nobility's Cooldown Reduction effect, this skill's ability to reduce consumed Combination Gauge to 0 allows you to loop this skill and two additional Combination Skills (for example Eschaton and Rain of Chaos) infinitely after the initial setup above, as long as MP allows, while only requiring a single quick switching skill (such as Soul Extortion or Stomp) in-between, assuming a Cooldown Reduction stat of 0%.
- Even with enough external Cooldown Reduction to no longer require the use of a Switching Skill, you do still want to weave in one every now and then due to the benefit of Communication - Duet and Noblesse Oblige, neither of which are maintained purely with Combination Skills.
Trivia
- This skill combines the spear from Sefirot Phantasma with the gate from Castle of Abaddon, and functions much the same as the latter, though with a much shorter reach.
- The NA server translated the Sefirot spear to the less accurate (but more widely known, due the Final Fantasy franchise) spelling as Sephiroth in this skill, despite already correctly using the former spelling for this path's hyper active, Sefirot Phantasma.
