While unlisted in the tooltip, this skill has a hidden feature where there is a set chance to "fail", causing the gem to turn dark and multiple shadow hands to erupt from it instead of the gem exploding into a bright light. The 'Fail' variation does more damage but has a seemingly smaller range.
